Conclusive criteria about “Made in Italy and entirely italian products”

On the Gazzetta Ufficiale n. 274 dated november 24th 2009 is published the law (20 novembre 2009, n.166) according to the European community criteria, introducing a new discipline about “Made in Italy and entirely italian products” in the Italian regulation.
Said new discpline introduces a new concept of entirely italian product, intended as product entirely accomplished in Italy, meaning a product being designed, engineered, processed and manufactured solely on italian soil.

Michael Jackson’s Patented Anti-Gravity Shoes

As the world of entertainement tributes Michael Jackson, his music, and his taste and style, intellectual property remember him as the first of three inventors of anti-gravity footwear on United States Patent 5,255,452, granted in 1993 for a “method and means for creating anti-gravity illusion.”

According to the patent’s abstract, the Jackson-devised system relies on “a hitch member movably projectable through a stage surface. The shoes have a specially designed heel slot which can be detachably engaged with the hitch member by simply sliding the shoe wearer’s foot forward, thereby engaging with the hitch member.” Jackson co-developed the technique as an improvement upon a previous method in which he and his dancers were rigged up with harnesses.

The social network Facebook has announced that from June 13th at 12.01 Us time, all users on Facebook may pick a custom user name to use as a profile identity on Facebook. This new user name will substitute the alphanumeric string on the URL for every user profile page.

Facebook users directly choose their name on a first to come first served basis.
